If our business enters into a joint venture with or is sold or merged with another business entity, your information may be disclosed to our new business partners or owners.
 
Authority to provide information to law enforcement authorities
We will co-operate with law enforcement agencies as well as related third parties to enforce laws such as fraud and other rights.  You authorise us to disclose any information about you to such law enforcement or other government officials as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary in connection with the investigation of fraud or other activity that is illegal or may expose us or you to legal liability.

Transferring Information Abroad
It is rare that we will need to transfer information abroad, but in the event that we do, it may be transferred to any part of the world.  Not all countries offer the same level of protection for your data, and many countries outside of the European Economic Area (EEA) do not. The parent company of the companies in the Harsco Group is situated in the USA, and we are currently making arrangements to ensure that the Harsco Corporation affords the same protection to individuals as is offered in the EEA.

In addition to these policies your personal data is protected by the Data Protection Act 1998.  Under this Act we will only process any personal data we hold about you in a lawful and fair manner.  We will keep your personal data secure to prevent access by unauthorised third parties and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage.  Information provided will be stored on computer for a reasonable period or for as long as the law requires and may be used for the purposes of analysis as described in this policy.
 
Destruction of Data
All information once processed and no longer required will be carefully destroyed to preserve your confidentiality.

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed as completely secure, but we try to take all appropriate steps to try to protect the security of your personal data.

You are entitled to see any information that we may hold about you and if it is inaccurate you may request that we make all necessary changes to ensure that it is accurate and kept up to date.  Please contact us at the head office address provided on our websites.  We are entitled by law to charge a fee of £10 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information that we hold about you.

From time to time we will make changes to this privacy policy and those changes will be posted on our website and where appropriate through email notification.  They will take effect immediately.  This policy was last updated on 25 January 2006. 
 
Emails
We will not email in the future unless you have given your consent.  However we will email you in reply to your emails to us. Also we will email you in reply to your emails to us or in response to any "opt-in" boxes that you may have ticked.  We will not pass on your email address except as mentioned above to any third party.

Our website may contain links to other websites. We do not accept responsibility for the privacy practices of those other sites, unless the site is of a company listed above.
