MultiServ to Expand Slag Processing Services Under Add-On Contract to Lafarge North America
Expanded Contract is Valued at Close to $3 Million Over its Duration
HARRISBURG, PA (May 12, 2005) . . . Worldwide industrial
services and products company Harsco Corporation (NYSE: HSC)
announced today that its MultiServ mill services division has been
awarded a three-year add-on contract by Lafarge North America to
provide expanded on-site steel slag screening and handling
services. The contract is valued at close to $3 million over its
duration.
Lafarge processes granulated blast furnace slag from a major
steel mill for use in the production of concrete and construction
aggregates. Under this add-on contract, MultiServ will screen up to
300,000 tons of slag per year to support new market requirements
that Lafarge has identified.
